Looking for a used Van?
Here at Motor Match we stock a variety of Used Vans all varying in different sizes, colour and brands. With Vans from Volkswagen, including the Transporter, Caddy, and Crafter, Ford, Peugeot and more, you are bound to found the right van for you.
When looking for a van there are a few things to consider:
- Will your journeys in the van be long or short?
- What capacity of load do you need to carry?
- How many passengers do you need to be able to carry?
Our sales teams will be happy to help you when you choose the right van for you and your business.
Used Vans
Buying a van used is as valid an option as buying one new, especially if you are purchasing a diesel van that tend to last longer and have fewer mechanical issues. Even with several thousand miles on the clock, a used van will run for many years and repay you many times over.
Examples of some available second hand vans include the Citroen Berlingo, and very popular small vans ideal for local businesses such as painters and electricians. The Peugeot Bipper, is another small van in the same class, often available second hand.
Van Types
If you need a van for a new business or personal use, it's a good idea to look at the market for second hand vans before you commit to one at full price. Unlike cars, vans hold their value for long periods, and deliver better long term performance capabilities.
Crew cab vans are medium sized vans that usually have two seats up front and divide. In the back there is room to add more seats, if that's how it's designed, but uses typically include the transporting of tools and material or mobile workshops.
If you need a van for transporting a group of people or work or leisure purposes, a combination van is an excellent choice. It acts as a small minibus with a slide door on the side and two rear doors. They can be also be repurposed as camper vans.
Finally, panel vans are always a popular choice for businesses and personal use. Panel vans are so named due to their large transport space in the rear. They come in various sizes to suit different purposes and can be easily adapted.
A Choice of Trims
In most cases, those buying vans are less concerned by the trim level, unless their objective is to appeal with the van, and instead, in most cases, the search for a used van is assessed bases on its practical usage first, aesthetics second.
However, the second hand vans on the forecourt at Van Match have several features that are noteworthy. In most cases, the vans have central locking, convenient and safe, especially if tools are stored. Many have integrated Bluetooth, ABD braking and start/stop systems.
Your Options
Presently Motor Match features a variety of vans to suit a range of purposes. We have small vans for new businesses and local pickups, or large panel vans for joinery or campervan conversions. If you need a middle of the road crew cab van or a transporter, we have those too, ready to test drive.
Van Engines
Unlike car engines, van engines tend to use a timing chain rather than a timing belt. This makes them more robust, longer lasting, and easier to service. You can pick either a petrol or diesel engine. Consider your purposes and whether you need better fuel economy, or quicker acceleration.
